Congratulations to Soumyashree Das of St. Joan’s School for securing the 2nd Position for Diving at the CISCE National Diving Competition held in Karnataka
We are delighted to announce the incredible achievement of Soumyashree Das of Class VII A, who has secured the 2nd position in both the 3-meter springboard and the 1-meter springboard events in the Under 14 Girls category at the CISCE National Games and Sports 2024 – Diving Event held in Karnataka.
The competition took place on August 27, 2024 & August 28, 2024 in Karnataka. Soumyashree’s exceptional performance was recognized with trophies and certificates.
The entire St. Joan’s family extends our heartfelt congratulations to Soumyashree for her outstanding success and wish her continued excellence in all her future endeavors!
Congratulations to Soumyashree Das of St. Joan’s School for securing the 1st Position for Diving at the CISCE Regional Diving Competition
We are delighted to announce the incredible achievement of Soumyashree Das, who has secured the 1st position in both the 3-meter springboard and the 1-meter springboard events in the Under 14 Girls category at the CISCE Regional Games and Sports 2024 – Diving Event.
The competition took place on August 9th, 2024, at the Eastern Railway Swimming Pool, Behala. Soumyashree’s exceptional performance was recognized with medals and certificates, presented by the Principal of Glenhill School, Konnagar (WB441) which was the host school. The event was graced by the presence of the Secretary of the West Bengal and Northeast region, Respected Mr. Sailesh Pandey – Principal of Ratnakar School and Dhiman Sir the WB and NE region coordinator.

Medha Gangopadhyay
We are thrilled to share the incredible journey of our alumna, Medha Gangopadhyay. Medha completed her ISC from St. Joan’s School in 2018, and she has continued to make us proud every step of the way.
- ICSE 2016: Secured an outstanding 98.6%, ranking 2nd in West Bengal’s Merit List.
- BSc Hons in Chemistry: Graduated with honors from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, in 2021.
- MS Chemistry: Completed her Masters at IISER Thiruvananthapuram in 2023.
Currently, Medha is pursuing her PhD in Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University.
We are immensely proud of Medha’s dedication, hard work, and the heights she has reached. She is a true inspiration to all our students.

Sakshi Soni
We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our alumna, Sakshi Soni. Sakshi completed her ICSE from St. Joan’s School in 2014 and continued to soar in her academic and professional journey.
- ISC: Continued her studies at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata.
- BCom Hons: Graduated from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, in 2019.
- MBA: Earned her MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 2022.
Sakshi has joined the prestigious Boston Consulting Group after completing her MBA. During her time at IIM Ahmedabad, she interned with J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking team and played a significant role in a $600 million+ TLB transaction in the hospitality industry.
Sakshi is now exploring opportunities in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and venture capital domains.
We are immensely proud of Sakshi’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing her continued success.
Priyam Marik
Priyam Marik, passed out from St. Joan’s School in 2014 after his ICSE Examinations. He took up Humanities at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School and did extremely well in his ISC examinations.
Given Priyam’s love for Literature, he did his Undergraduate Studies in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata and thereafter moved to the UK, where he has recently completed his Post Graduate Degree in Journalism and Documentary practice from the prestigious University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
We are sure Priyam’s journey will inspire our young students.
Shrouti Dutta
Shrouti Dutta completed her ICSE from St. Joan’s School in 2012 and moved on to Our Lady Queen of the Missions School, from where she appeared, for her ISC exams and secured 98.5%, and Ranked 4th in India.
After completing her ISC, Shrouti joined the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur and pursed B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering and stood 1st amongst the undergraduates in all the departments scoring a CGPA of 9.69/10.
She thereafter moved to Canada and joined McGill University, where she is pursuing her PHD which is an extension of the Master’s degree.
The entire St. Joan’s family is very proud of Shrouti’s achievements and wishes her all the very best for her future endeavours.

- Mamraj Agarwal National Award, 2014 awarded by honourable Governor of West Bengal.
- TATA Consultancy Academic Interface Program: Best Student Award, 2017-2018, from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur.
- McGill Graduate Excellence Fellowship, 2020.
- Scholarship for Higher Education ( SHE ) from CISCE, New Delhi.
Sourav Chatterjee
Sourav Chatterjee, our ex student completed his ICSE from St. Joan’s School in 2005. His academic journey includes:
- B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics, Vidyasagar College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India.
- B.Tech. (Honours) in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), Hyderabad, India.
- M.S. (by research) in Computational Natural Sciences (CNS), International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), Hyderabad, India.
- Ph.D. candidate in Physics, Max-Planck-Institute for the Science of Light (MPL), Erlangen, Germany. In association with: Institute of Optics, Information and Photonics, Friedrich-AlexanderUniversität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) & Erlangen Graduate school in advanced optical technologies (SAOT).
In addition he scored the maximum possible number of points in this year’s Worldskills International Competition in Quantum Technology. The championship, included 3 teams from India, as well as teams form Ghana, China, Russia and Brazil.

Yogesh Damani
We are thrilled to share the incredible achievement of our alumnus, “Yogesh Damani” (ISC Batch 2018-’19), who has cleared his CA Final exam on his very first attempt in May 2024!
Yogesh’s journey of excellence started early, as he received the prestigious “Ram Avatar Pratibha Puraskar” for outstanding performance in ISC Hindi back in 2019 and scholarship from ” Raman Kant Munjal Foundation ” during his graduation from 2019-22.
After completing BCom Hons from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and his articleship from Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, Yogesh has continued to shine in his academic and professional pursuits.
